U.S. Return Goods Policy

This Policy Supersedes All Previous Documents Regarding the Return of Product

Original Purchaser

  • Lakeland accepts request for Return Goods Authorization (RGA) from the original purchaser, only.

RGA Criteria/Conditions:

  • The RGA Request must be received within 90-days of the original invoice date.
  • RGA’s are considered for Defects in Manufacturing, Quality Workmanship, or Shipping Errors, only.
  • Obsolete, Discontinued, and Expired Products will not be considered for return.
  • RGA Request cannot be accepted without a “financially equal, offset/replacement order.”
  • Unless specified by written contract, RGA Requests will not be accepted for a customer’s Overstock, Excess Inventory, or Loss of Business.
  • Freight Claim issues for Missing or Damaged in Transit.
    • An RGA Request must be received within 5 business days of the Customer’s receipt of product.
    • Lakeland accepts the carrier’s Proof of Delivery Documentation.
    • The Customer must identify shortages or damage on the carrier’s documentation.

Inspection

  • All returns will be inspected by our Quality Assurance Team.
    • Lakeland will make the final disposition of returned product.
  • Returned product must be in saleable condition, packed in a way to prevent damage or loss and must include all accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product.

Custom and Configured Products:

  • Custom Products will meet agreed upon specifications and be free from defects in workmanship or material.
  • Custom Products will not be accepted for return unless there is a Manufacturing, Quality, or Shipping Error.
  • All fire products will be considered Custom Products.

How To Request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA)

  • To request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA), you may call Lakeland Customer Service at 1-800-645-9291 or email sales@lakeland.com.
    • If the request is approved, you will be provided with an RGA Number and return instructions via email.
  • Returns must be packaged in a way to prevent damage or loss.
  • The RGA number must be clearly identified on the outer shipping carton.
    • Returns received without an RGA Number clearly identified on the outside packaging, will be returned.
    • Lakeland cannot be responsible for Return Freight Costs or Lost/Damaged packages.

Please Note

  • Returned product(s) must be received within 30-days of the issuance of the RGA. After 30-days, the RGA is void.
  • All Fire Turn-Out Gear must be properly laundered before returning to Lakeland. Fire Turn-Out Gear not properly laundered will be returned to the shipper.
    • Lakeland cannot be responsible for Return Freight Costs or Lost/Damaged packages in the return of improperly laundered Fire Turn-Out Gear.

Exceptions

  • Exception requests will be directed to Senior Management for review
  • If approved, returned product, under exception, will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • Return Freight Charges for RGA’s approved under an exception, are the responsibility of the customer.
    • It is recommended that you ship the return via insured service with a tracking number.
    • Lakeland cannot be responsible for Return Freight Costs or Lost/Damaged packages.
